Hogtown Brass - Sept 6
Toronto's Hogtown Brass Quintet plays everything from Classical standards (like Bach) to jazz (like Ella), to Canadian east coast melodies, Latin tunes and original funk, all arranged for brass instruments. Come see a little bit of everything plus trombone!
Amahl Arulanandam, Raphael Weinroth-Browne, Robin Howe and Andrew Ascenzo take the stage by storm each playing everyone's favourite string instrument: the cello. Four of Canada's premiere cellists blur musical genre lines with original compositions, covers of metal tunes and more.
The Jane Street Trio and Jeremy Potts play the 4 seasons - but not the Vivaldi that everyone knows. Listen (or dance along) to Astor Piazzolla's tango infused take on the 4 seasons of Buenos Aires while sipping margaritas in La Rev's beautiful back room.
Toronto's Odin String Quartet brings the silver screen to life playing music from your favourite movies, arranged for string quartet.
